Accessibility
Accessibility statement
Accessibility is the whole point of IncluMath, not an afterthought. We build for students who learn differently, so the product is designed to work with the assistive technology and accommodations those students rely on.
Conformance target
- Target standard: WCAG 2.2 Level AA as the floor, with Level AAA as the goal on student-facing flows.
- Aligned with the U.S. Department of Justice ADA Title II web rule (28 CFR Part 35) and Section 508 expectations for educational technology.
What we support today
- Full keyboard navigation, including a skip-to-content link and visible focus rings on every interactive element.
- Screen-reader labels on all controls; math problems are announced sensibly (fractions read as “1 over 2”, blanks as “blank”).
- Touch targets of at least 48×48 px on student-facing controls; 44 px minimum elsewhere.
- Respects the operating-system “reduce motion” setting: non-essential animation is disabled when requested.
- Color is never the only way information is conveyed; correct/incorrect states use shape, text, and an icon as well as color.
- Text-to-speech read-aloud for problems, with adjustable speech rate, always free.
- Optional color overlays and high-contrast mode for visual comfort.
- Adjustable letter spacing for reading comfort.
- Compatible with switch-scanning and dwell (eye-gaze / head-tracking) input through the IncluAccess input layer.
Ongoing work & reporting a barrier
We test against assistive technology and audit our screens regularly, and we treat accessibility defects as launch-blocking. No product is ever perfectly accessible, so if you hit a barrier, anything that makes IncluMath hard to use, please tell us and we will fix it.
Email support@inclushift.com with the page, your device, and any assistive technology you use. We aim to respond within five business days.
IncluMath is an adaptive math practice tool, not a medical device, therapeutic intervention, or substitute for professional educational assessment.
